Overview
An increasing number of cancer treatments are shifting from palliative to curative from life-extending to potentially lifesaving. What does this mean for assessing the effectiveness of a treatment? Which endpoints are essential? And is overall survival the most important endpoint? Inge Diepman discusses these questions with three experts in this accredited e-learning.
What
Each of the three modules opens with a short presentation by epidemiologist Sjoerd Elias, after which Inge Diepman sits down with pulmonologist Prof. Egbert Smit, internist-oncologist Dr. Michiel van der Heijden and Dr. Sjoerd Elias for further discussion.
The e-learning is interactive: participants are asked questions throughout the modules. By clicking, they can share their opinion on a topic or test their knowledge. After completing the modules, participants take a final assessment to earn accreditation points.
For this e-learning, we designed and built a studio on location in Amsterdam. The presentations were recorded in the morning and edited on-site. Later that afternoon, the speakers reviewed the edit together and continued the discussion around the table.
