Overview

Each year, 3,900 young adults between the ages of 18 and 39 are diagnosed with cancer for the first time. They belong to the AYA patient group (Adolescents and Young Adults). This continuing education programme focuses on the role of the GP in the care of and for AYA patients.

What

In a daylight studio in Amsterdam, several stakeholders discuss the role of the GP during the diagnosis phase, treatment phase and aftercare of AYA patients. Among the speakers are Anneke Eikelenboom, who was diagnosed with cancer herself at the age of 30, Dr. Jacqueline Tromp (medical oncologist), Jeroen van Duijn (GP) and Dr. Eveliene Manten-Horst (director of the National AYA Care Network).

In the second module, Jacqueline gives a brief presentation on the key medical characteristics of the patient group, recorded in a separate setting. Afterwards, we redesigned and animated the slides in the visual identity of the National AYA Care Network. The continuing education programme is interactive and accredited: questions are posed throughout, and at the end participants must complete a test. In addition to the full e-learning production, we also created a trailer and multiple teasers.
